Jingle Dogs: Christmas Unleashed

Jingledogschristmas See, they're dogs barking to the tunes of holiday classics. So instead of, "Jingle bells! Jingle bells! Jingle all the way!", they'd be all, "Woof woof woof! Woof woof woof! Woof woof woof, woof-woof!" And that makes for good entertainment. Or something.

Dog-On Television

266l There's a huge market for busy pet owners. It used to be, once upon a time, pet owners went to work and left their pets alone to fend for themselves. Nowadays it seems like that's akin to leaving a toddler home alone - a bored toddler who will shred couches and leave unsavory, steaming presents on the rug. As a result, a new industry has cropped up featuring entertainment for "home alone" pets.

Dog-On Television is a DVD designed to soothe and entertain your pooch while you're away. It has 60 minutes of footage of over 100 dogs playing, barking, and having fun. It loops continuously, so you can just pop it in the DVD player and leave, safe in the knowledge your dog will be comforted by the sight of other dogs enjoying themselves.

If you feel a little silly buying such an item, you can rationalize its purchase as 50 cents from each DVD sold will go to the Linda Blair World of Heart Foundation to help abused and neglected dogs. Yes, that Linda Blair.

Songs to Make Dogs Happy

B0007x9u8801_aa240_sclzzzzzzz_ You know how you buy music and videos for your kids, and you don't really like the music or videos, but your kids totally dig them, and so you endure the endless loops of "I LOVE YOU YOU LOVE ME" because you love your children and you only want their happiness?

Songs to Make Dogs Happy is a CD full of songs for your dog. And I'm guessing that this isn't music you would seek out for yourself, but it's not about you, is it? Songs like, "Scratch My Back," "You're a Good Dog," and one that is sure to be Bliss' favorite, "Cookies," were developed by animal communicator Dr. Kim Ogden-Avrutik. In her communications with dogs, she found they didn't like certain drumbeats and the word "no" (go figure).

Um... I kind of like the song "Squeaky Deaky."
